A Line Edit includes everything in A Light Touch, plus:

• A line-by-line review to determine whether each line supports the overall paragraph, chapter, and story

• A deeper look at character and story consistency

• Specific suggestions to keep your reader engaged

A Developmental Edit focuses on storytelling craft, rather than grammar. Includes an editorial letter with feedback on character, plot, dialogue, transitions, chronology, stakes, pacing, and other story elements to create a customized writing guide.

Looking for a critique partner who can both identify areas for improvement and encourage you to get there?

Evaluations include feedback on hook, story elements, dialogue, reader perception, genre appropriateness, and more.

A Manuscript Evaluation will identify areas to work on to get the manuscript ready for pitching/publishing.

Critique can be a one-time review of specific pages, or an ongoing effort to build a story chapter-by-chapter or draft-by-draft, customized to your needs.

A Mini Developmental Edit provides feedback based off the first 25 pages and a synopsis.

Other options include structured review of pitch, query letter, book jacket material, synopsis, or first pages.

Does not include copyediting.

Coaching includes:

• A full read-through of the manuscript or a discussion of idea, outline, synopsis, or story idea

• A call to determine what you’d like to focus on (or what the writing needs, if you aren’t sure)

• A personalized coaching plan

• A customized number of sessions, at your pace (examples: monthly deep-dives into craft, review of revisions to build skills, story and character arc development discussions, weekly check-ins to keep you motivated and on track, etc.)

• A personalized list of resources for further study

• Email check-ins with coach for motivation or to clarify and answer writing questions that come up during the process

2025 Rates: $50 per 1,000 words for reading the manuscript, plus $100 per session.
